Delivery Areas

Coastline Hire delivers equipment across East London and the Eastern Cape coast from our Beacon Bay base. We work with builders, contractors and event teams who need clear delivery times, practical setup and reliable collection.

Where we deliver from Beacon Bay

Our main base is in Beacon Bay, East London, which puts us close to the city, the main routes and the coastal suburbs we serve every week. From there we handle tool hire, plant hire and event equipment for jobs that need quick turnarounds or planned deliveries. If you are working in East London itself, we can usually arrange the most direct option for your site and your timeframe.

We deliver to builders, property teams, schools, churches, event organisers and private clients. Smaller items can be collected from our base, while larger or heavier equipment is better sent on truck with the right loading plan. If you are not sure whether your site is easy to access, send the address first and we will advise on vehicle type and timing.

East London service areas we cover daily

East London is our core delivery area and includes regular drops to central sites, industrial yards, residential developments and venues. We know the local traffic patterns, school runs and the timing issues that come with tight city jobs. That helps us keep delays down when a generator, compactor or scaffold order must be on site before work starts.

  • East London CBD and surrounding business areas
  • Beacon Bay and nearby commercial sites
  • Gonubie for homes, venues and coastal projects
  • Industrial and construction sites across the metro

If your project needs repeat deliveries, we can set up a schedule that suits the job. That works well for contractors who hire for more than one week and want to avoid last minute collections or missed handovers.

Kidds Beach, Qonce and nearby inland routes

We also deliver beyond the city edge into growing residential and construction areas such as Kidds Beach and Qonce. These routes often need a bit more planning because access roads, gate control and site entry times can vary from one job to the next. Tell us the closest entrance point and we will plan the drop accordingly.

For inland deliveries we often recommend a pre-hire briefing so the right person is ready to receive the equipment. That saves time on site and reduces repeat trips. It is especially useful for scaffolding, pumps and larger plant where an extra hand on delivery makes the handover quicker, no fuss.

  • Share the full site address and contact person
  • Tell us about road access, gate codes or security checks
  • Let us know if the load must be offloaded by hand or crane

Port Alfred and the coastal stretch we support

Along the coast we deliver to Port Alfred and other working areas where weather, salt air and access can affect equipment handling. Coastal humidity can be hard on machines left standing too long, so we aim to get hired items delivered, used and collected within the agreed hire period. If the site is exposed to wind or sea spray, we can advise on placement and protection.

This area is often used for holiday work, renovations, events and seasonal maintenance. We support weekend hire and long-term hire where needed, and we can organise collection after the job if your team cannot return the items immediately. For event work, early delivery is best so there is time to place marquees, bars, lighting gear or seating without rushing.

How delivery works on a normal hire

Our delivery process is straightforward. Once we know what you need, where it is going and when you need it, we confirm the nearest practical option. For some orders, collection is quicker. For others, especially heavier kit or multiple items, delivery and setup is the better choice. We always try to match the transport to the hire size so you are not paying for more than you need.

  • Send the equipment list and hire dates
  • Confirm the delivery address and site contact
  • Choose delivery, collection or both
  • Ask for setup, fuel management or scaffold planning if needed

We also handle emergency callout requests where a machine stops working or a deadline has moved up. In those cases, timing matters most and we will tell you honestly what can be done. If the job is urgent, call early in the day so we can work out the quickest route.

Event delivery, setup and return collection

Our events team handles delivery for functions, community events and private celebrations across East London and the coast. That includes party equipment, layout help and on-site setup where the venue needs a practical plan for access, spacing and return collection. We work with halls, schools, churches, homes and outdoor venues, so we know that each site has its own limits.

Good event delivery starts with a clear floor plan or at least a basic idea of how many guests you expect. From there we can suggest the best sequence for offloading and placing items. If power is needed on site, we can also discuss generator placement and fuel management so the event keeps running even when loadshedding interrupts the area.

What to send us before we deliver

The more detail we have, the easier it is to send the right truck, the right team and the right equipment on time. A short message or email is usually enough to get the process moving. We work from Beacon Bay and cover a wide area, so the practical details help us avoid wasted trips and delays.

  • Exact address and suburb
  • Access notes, height limits or restricted parking
  • Delivery date, preferred time and site contact number
  • Any setup, briefing or collection requirements

If you are unsure whether your area falls within our delivery range, ask anyway. We cover East London, Beacon Bay, Gonubie, Kidds Beach, Qonce and Port Alfred regularly, and we can often arrange delivery to nearby points as long as the site is workable.
