Terms of use

These terms govern your use of the Coastline Hire website and any enquiry, booking or information request made through it. By using the site, you agree to these terms and to lawful use of the service.

Using this website for hire enquiries

This website is provided for customers who need information about generators, compactors, scaffolding, pumps and party equipment available in East London, Beacon Bay, Gonubie, Kidds Beach, Qonce and Port Alfred. You may use the site to request quotes, check availability and submit hire details, but any booking only becomes binding once confirmed by Coastline Hire in writing.

You agree to use the site in a lawful manner and not to interfere with its operation, copy content without permission, or submit false information. If you contact us on behalf of a company, site agent or event organiser, you confirm that you have authority to do so.

Quotes, availability and hire confirmations

All quotations are subject to equipment availability, delivery location, hire period and the condition of the equipment at the time of dispatch. Prices may change if the scope of the hire changes, including extended hire periods, weekend cover, fuel management, on-site setup, scaffold planning or emergency callout work.

  • A quote is an invitation to proceed, not a final acceptance until confirmed.
  • We may request a deposit, proof of identity or company details before releasing equipment.
  • Delivery and collection times are estimates and can change due to weather, road access, load-shedding or site delays.

Customer duties on site

Customers are responsible for providing safe access to the delivery point, correct dimensions, and any site instructions needed for setup or collection. If equipment is being used at a building site, event venue or private property, you must make sure the area is suitable and that the equipment is used by competent persons.

Where relevant, you must comply with municipal rules, safety requirements and any permit conditions that apply to scaffolding, road access, noise control or event layout. Coastal weather, humidity and salt exposure can affect equipment performance, so users must report faults promptly and avoid misuse.

  • Do not overload generators, compactors, scaffold platforms or pumps.
  • Do not move hired equipment without permission.
  • Return fuel levels, accessories and fittings as issued unless we agree otherwise.

Payments, damages and late returns

Payment terms will be set out on the quotation, invoice or hire agreement. Unless agreed in advance, all charges are due in full by the stated due date. If equipment is returned late, damaged, missing or excessively dirty, Coastline Hire may charge additional hire, cleaning, repair or replacement costs.

Customers remain responsible for hired equipment until it has been checked back into our control at Beacon Bay or collected by our team. Any dispute about damage or missing items should be raised as soon as possible after return. Failure to pay amounts due may result in suspension of further hire services.

Website information and limits of liability

We take reasonable care to keep the information on this site current, but specifications, images, stock notes and service details may change without notice. We do not guarantee that the website will always be available, error free or free from interruptions caused by maintenance, network issues or third-party systems.

To the fullest extent allowed by law, Coastline Hire, its staff and the operator Astros Marketing (Pty) Ltd will not be liable for indirect loss, loss of profit, or delays arising from use of the website or from reliance on information that is later updated. Nothing in these terms limits liability where the law does not allow it.

When you send an enquiry through the website, we may use your contact details to respond, prepare a quote, arrange delivery, confirm collection or follow up on a hire matter. We handle customer information for normal business purposes connected to hiring equipment and providing support.
